What is Ashmod Collections?
Ashmod Collections is a vanilla mod launcher or API for a certain set of mods that ashdjtgfoe made - because these mods are not compatible with Forge, this mod launcher was made. Unlike Optifine, which is made in a similar way but is distributed with a installer, Ashmod Collections uses a mod launcher, be more customisable, be integrated with Optifine itself, and a lot more!!!
What is so different between this and Forge?
1) It is more optimised and powerful, but has a limited range of mods.
2) It is an app which does not need Minecraft or Forge to run.
3) It can use Realms!!!
4) No more server.properties - they are all in-built into the launcher and also refined!
5) Easy to use, even has a wiki...
6) Integrated with Optifine
7) Latest mods compatible with 1.11.2

How was it created?
Do you know what fernflower and IntelliJ is? Software for coding and decompiling. i.e It provides access to vanilla minecraft files, without the presence of forge or any other API. By doing so, people can easily mod clients and servers... But there is an EULA where the distribution of minecraft.jar is not allowed!
I was one of the people who found this bloody annoying. So I went around it, and now, other people can too.
Email me at [email protected] for your mod to be uploaded to Ashmod Collections.

How does it work?
Pretty simple... Every time you open it there is a login window, where you have to login using your username and password otherwise you can only play demo. (And use modded servers) Each time a mod is launched, it is downloaded from Google Drive, refreshed, then launched. This ensures that mods are not distributed, and that the EULA is not violated.
Ashmod Collections auto-updates itself each time it is reopened, so be sure to check that out! There is also a wiki on this website about individual mods!

Notes
Ashmod Collections doesn't like how players can cheat by just turning on LAN, and so introduced this feature where commands are only allowed in worlds with cheats enabled, otherwise all text is directed into chat. This is also true for server, but the host can change this in the server GUI.
For example, in a survival (non-cheats-enabled) world, ashdjtgfoe typing "/kill" would find this in the chat:
<ashdjtgfoe> /kill
